This is one of two almost identical beaver tooth pendants found at Wigber Low. They were found over 100 years apart. Unfortunately neither has a secure archaeological context. Both are made from the incisor of a beaver, set in a short gold tube with corrugated decoration.
This example was found during excavations in 1987. It was found when removing soil from on top of the bedrock on the south side of the cairn. The pendant was not related to any features that could give it a good archaeological context.
