The silver fittings found in the Benty Grange burial were originally attached to a wooden cup. This had decayed and is lost. Thomas Bateman and Llewellynn Jewitt both produced drawings of the original appearance of the cup. This replica is based on these.

This object, like the helmet, has Christian crosses on it. Again, this suggests the presence of Christian missionaries in the Peak District in the 7th century. This fits well with the conversion of the nearby kingdom of Mercia in the later 7th century.
